when I was 8, I wrote an ad for Bunny Bread.
It was probably shit. Unimportant.
Thinkin’ ‘bout bread.
It was the first instance I felt that thing. That smooth frisson. The affirming feeling deep in the basement of your belly that says, “Yes, I feel this and so will they.”
It was exhilarating - using my imagination to connect with others. It still is.
A lot has happened since “That’s what I said — 🐰🍞Bunny Bread.” (Not mine.) I majored in Advertising at Loyola University and then got a sense of the entire industry with gigs in ACCOUNTS, and CREATIVE STRATEGY. I also completed the Second City writing program.
With my combined experience, soon I was mapping creative strategy and scripting digital video for brands like Netflix, Amazon, Lyft, Chevy, and Sony.
Now people let me concept and write TV ads for Fortune 500 companies. My wheelhouse is humor that a 12 year-old boy would enjoy and storytelling that would make even your dad cry. I’ve been at this 12 years, and I’ve loved every minute.
